Not if you don't want to. If things are important to you and you have the room to keep them, then I will simply find a suitable way to store them. It is completely your decision.
Just like reading, writing, and riding a bicycle. Someone taught you the skills and techniques that worked best for you. Same thing for organizing. I can help you succeed by helping you set and achieve your goals in becoming organized.
How
long does it take to get organized?
It depends on many things, from the items or areas being organized, to the people working, to
how quickly decisions are being made. It generally takes longer to organize papers than it does to organize objects. The same stack
of papers can take one person 15 minutes to go through and another person hours to go through. Getting organized and staying organized
takes time and commitment, but the results are more than worth it.
I know I need help organizing, but I am embarrassed
to have you see my house.
While being embarrassed isn't unusual, there isn't anything to be embarrassed about. When I walk
in homes, I see solutions. As a professional, I do all of my organizing in a patient, nonjudgmental, and respectful
manner. I will hold all client information, business or personal, written or verbal, in confidence. I understand how things can
get out of control and I look at it as a challenge. And don't try to organize before I (your organizer) come! I need to see how
things really are so that I can find the right solution for you.
What are your fees?
You can expect to pay about the same
rate for an organizer as you would for an interior designer, personal trainer, or other similar service professionals. Please call
to discuss your situation and I will be happy to quote you rates. While hiring a professional organizer is definitely not for
everyone, I can usually help people with a variety of budgets. Even if you only work with me for one session, you'll find
that being organized is an investment in yourself that pays huge dividends of decreased stress and time savings.
I have a 2-hour
minimum appointment time for all work done on-site, but for your initial appointment, I highly recommend 3-4 hours minimally
so that we have time to provide strong visible results for you that first day. Payment is due at the time of service. Call me at 636-685-6882.
How do your sessions work?
Everything I do is tailored to your needs and desires. I help people on many different levels. While
I mostly do one-on-one work, I do a broad range of other services. Some other services are consultant work, ongoing
maintenance work, and training of assistants and housekeepers. Feel free to ask how I can help you organize. There are many options
I haven't even thought of.I love a good organizing challenge. Call me with your best challenge.
Evaluation
The first thing I do is an evaluation to find out what the space is primarily used for and how we can tailor the space to function best for the client.
One-on-one Work
I work one-on-one with clients to teach them the skills they need to maintain their desired organizational level. This provides a huge benefit to clients by keeping the space personalized and functional to their specific needs.
Ongoing Maintenance
Ongoing maintenance serves many clients well for various situations. Anywhere from people that want to organize their whole house a little at a time to those that don't have the funds all at once and want to budget it in when convenient.
Consultant Work
For those that prefer to do the task themselves, I serve as a consultant to point people in the right direction with an outline of how to accomplish their goals.
Do you work with children?
Yes! I have a lot of fun with
all ages of youth. They are never too young to learn the skills that will help them for a lifetime.
